How AI agents make our Instagram reels
We automated our Instagram reels with Claude Code and a small team of AI agents. After 10 days of reels, we hit 1,000 followers. This is the whole system, so you can copy it.

The result
Our Instagram account, @another_systems, posts short explainers about AI, software and data analysis. The first reel went out on October 22, 2026, and on November 1 the account passed 1,000 followers.
AI agents make every reel, from the idea to a video ready to post. They run in Claude Code, Anthropic's AI coding tool, and they research, write, build and check each one. A person watches every finished reel and posts it by hand.
It's built for informative videos like ours, topics, facts and guides told with 2D cards, 3D scenes, an AI voice and captions. It isn't made for animated cartoons or comedy sketches.

The setup
Install Claude Code and give it one folder. The folder holds the rules, a brief for each kind of agent, a queue of reel ideas and the code that draws the videos. Everything is plain text, so the agents can read it and you can change it.
Claude Code runs the agents, and five free tools do the heavy work on the laptop. Claude's $20 a month Pro plan is enough to make about 10 to 20 reels a month with no problems.
Give your agent a screen recording of a video in the style you want, from your phone or your computer, as its reference. The guide gives you the method, the rules and every brief, but not our video code. Your agent writes its own from your reference video, so the first reel takes the longest.

| Tool | Its job |
|---|---|
| Claude Code | Runs every agent. The only paid part |
| three.js | Draws the 3D scenes in a web page |
| Qwen3-TTS | The AI voice and its word times, on the laptop |
| Parakeet | Hears every line back to catch a cut word |
| Headless Chrome | Records the page, frame by frame |
| FFmpeg | Joins frames, voice and music into the video |
One reel, from idea to ready to post
One prompt starts a builder agent on Claude Opus. It researches the topic on the makers' own pages and papers, writes a script of up to 10 lines, about 60 seconds, and plans what the screen shows on every line.
Three Claude Sonnet agents review the script before anything is built. One checks every fact against the sources, one reads it as a new viewer, and one checks that every scene will read on a phone.
If you want a say before the build, ask the agent to stop after the reviews. You read the script, approve it or change lines, and only then does it build. Then the builder makes the reel, its cover and its caption, and an auditor checks the frames and the caption. Fix, check again, up to 5 rounds.

Topic
Something famous in your niche. Ours is AI, software and data, so ChatGPT, Netflix and Google Maps come up.
Research
Only the makers' own pages and papers. Every number gets a source.
Script
Up to 10 lines, about 60 seconds, a famous name in the first words.
Three AI reviewers
Facts, a new viewer and design, before anything is built.
You read the script
OptionalAsk the agent to stop here, then approve the script or change it.
Build
The voice, the 3D scenes, the music, every frame, a cover and the caption.
Audit loop
Up to 5 roundsFrames and caption checked, fixed and checked again.
You watch the reel
Approve it and post it yourself, or ask for changes and the agents redo it.
Your numbers
After posting, read the reel's insights and give the agent the numbers.
The numbers from the last step pick the next topics.
You approve, and the playbook learns
Nothing goes out until you watch it. You approve the reel and post it yourself, or ask for changes and the agents redo it. With the optional script check, that makes two places a person steps in.
Each change also becomes a proposed fix to the playbook, the list of rules every agent reads. When we said the gaps between some cards looked uneven, the agent fixed that reel and proposed a rule that every gap uses the same spacing. Every reel after it started with that rule. The playbook is yours to shape, so the reels end up with your taste, not the agent's.

After posting, your numbers
For now this step is by hand. Open the reel's insights in the Instagram app and give the agent the numbers, like views and how many people leave in the first 3 seconds. A screenshot is enough. They go in one table, and the next topics come from it.
Ours said two things. Most viewers leave in the first 3 to 5 seconds, so the first frame now shows something famous with the first words already on screen. And everyday "how does it work" topics kept 21 to 23% of viewers at 30 seconds, about twice our AI news reels. The same numbers show which reels are worth putting ads on.

The numbers pick the next reel, not a guess.
- 1You post the reel
- 2Read its insights
- 3Give the agent the numbers
- 4It logs them

The point
The agents do the work, but the system itself is a few plain files you can copy, a playbook of rules, a brief for each agent and a table of numbers. Your notes write the rules and your numbers pick the topics, so after a few weeks the reels are yours. The deep dive walks through every brief. Or skip the reading, give its PDF to Claude Code or any AI agent, and it sets the whole system up for you.
