Terms of use

These terms cover your use of anothersystems.com, run by Ken Ruiz Inoue (AnotherSystems), an independent professional based in Mexico City, Mexico. By using the site, you agree to them. My privacy policy explains how I handle personal information.

Prices on this site, including the price calculator, are estimates in US dollars to help you plan. They are not an offer. A project starts only after we both sign a written proposal or agreement, and its terms take priority over anything on this site. Taxes may apply depending on where you are.

The free call is a conversation to see whether I can help. It's general guidance, not professional advice for your situation, and it doesn't commit either of us to anything.

Case studies and posts describe specific past projects. Figures like accuracy, speed or sales are what those projects measured, not a promise of results for yours. Client names and figures are published with permission.

Code I publish on GitHub is covered by the license in each repository, for example MIT. Everything else on this site, including text, diagrams and design, belongs to AnotherSystems. You can quote short parts with a link back; for anything more, ask me first.

Pokémon and Pokémon card names and images are trademarks and copyrights of Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK inc. and The Pokémon Company. Another Scanner is an independent open-source project and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by them or by TCGplayer.

Apple and iPhone are trademarks of Apple Inc. Other product and company names belong to their owners. Naming my former employers (PayPal, HP and Incode) describes my work history and doesn't mean they endorse or are affiliated with AnotherSystems.

The site links to services I don't control, such as Calendly, Google Meet, GitHub, LinkedIn and Instagram. Their own terms and policies apply there.

Please don't use the site to break the law, try to break into or overload it, or copy it in bulk with automated tools. Normal search engine indexing is fine.

The site and its content are provided as is. I work to keep it accurate, but I don't guarantee it's complete, current or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, AnotherSystems isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses from using the site, and my total liability for any claim about the site is limited to US$100. Nothing here limits rights you have under laws that can't be waived.

These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Disputes about the site go to the competent courts of Mexico City, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere. A project agreement can set different terms for that project.

I may update these terms. The new version applies from the date at the top of this page.
